Most of Chinese people know about Leifeng Pagoda because it is related to Chinese folk story "the white snake". Actually Leifeng Pagoda was first built in 977 a.d. by Qian hongchu, king of Wuyue, for the worship of the hair of Buddha. Climbing up the pagoda, you will see a panoramic view of the west lake.

This museum is one of the first state-level museums of China. During all these years, it achieved great progress in obtaining silk collections, hosting domestic and foreign exhibitions, protecting textile heritages, inheriting sericulture and silk weaving skills,carrying out popular silk science education and promoting the silk culture.

Hu Xueyan was a famous Chinese businessman in the 1970s and 1980s. The layout of the whole building is compact and exquisite. The living room and the garden blend. The building materials can be comparable to the Imperial Palace; it can be said that all materials are precious.

Qinghefang has been a prosperous area in Hangzhou since ancient times. It still remains green brick road with Ming and Qing style buildings on both sides. You will find many shops with a history more than a hunred years. There are also local snacks to sell.
