Sofia's religions - Private walking tour

In this walking tour we’ll find ourselves in the middle of Sofia’s “religious tolerance” square which is the city center terrain locked between the mosque, the synagogue, the catholic and the orthodox churches - all situated in just a few hundred metres from each other!

For centuries our country has shown to the world that peaceful cohabitation and cooperation between people of different religions is possible and actually happens.

On this tour we’ll learn what people through different ages believed in and what the locals believe in the present. Our religious trip will go through the ancient Thracian tribes’ believes, the pagan beliefs of the Bulgarians, the Abrahamic Monotheistic religions, the Bogomils, Christianity, Islam and the Judaism in Sofia. We will also talk about the communists’ influence over the Bulgarians’ religious beliefs and traditions.

Come, take part in this travel through religions and centuries!
