Mountain Immersion in Three Peaks State Park

Experience the best of Rio de Janeiro state with this trip to the wild area of Tres Picos State Park. This 2-days tour is private and travelers should be fit to hike around 5 to 6 hours per day.

Itinerary

Ride to Tres Picos State Park and explore this wild region facing giant walls of granite. Experience the best of local food with artisanal beer and wood oven pizza.

We will pick up travelers around 8 am at their hotel / airbnb. Then we drive for 2 hours to Teresopolis. After driving on a dirt-road for a little, we will start a 3 hours hike to reach the park's basecamp, Valley of Gods, where we will have a lunch facing the mountains. After that, we will start our 2-hour descent to the other side of the valley, where travelers will sleep in a mountain shelter where they will be received with artisanal beer and wood oven pizza for dinner.

On the next day, after eating a traditional brazilian breakfast of the region, we will hike back for 2 hours to Valley of Gods, for then climb up for 1 hour approx. to Cabeça de Dragão (Dragon's Head). The summit will present us a panoramic view of the park, facing the Three Peeks (having a lunch of course). Then, we will start our 3-hours hike down to get back to the car, and drive 2 hours to Rio to the drop off location.
