The first stop will be at Khor Virap Monastery in Ararat Valley. Here the Christian history of Armenia commenced in early 4-th century.The vista point here has one of the best views to Mount Ararat.

You will continue the way to the picturesque Gnishik canyon and reach Noravank Monastery surrounded by red rocks.

Then you will visit the Birds Cave, where people used to produce wine 6.500 years ago.

Wine tasting in Arpa Parnas winery. You will try 4 local wine: Areni red, Kharji white, Areni rose and fruit wine. it's time for the lunch!

Lunch at a local wine-makers home: Simonyan's family. Home-made dishes are served and of course, home-made Areni wine.

Finally, you will visit Areni Wine factory, see the process of wine production and try one more glass of wine.

The medieval monastery is located in the red canyon of Gnishik river. Here every visitor can feel the harmonious relationship between architecture and the nature.

Wine tasting at Arpa Parnas wine hall, where different wines from Vayots Dzor region are presented. You will taste 4 types of wine: red, white, rose and fruit wine.

Lunch at a local winemaker's home. Simonyan family has been making wine for more than 7 generations. All the food is home-made with which you will be served home-made Areni wine.

A visit to Birds Cave in Areni, which is famous because around 6.500 yeras ago ancient people used to produce Areni wine in this cave. You will see jugs and other items excavated by archaeologists.
