The Khor Virap Monastery is the birthplace of Christianity in Armenia.There was imprisoned St. Gregory the Illuminator, the founder of Christianity in Armenia. Also Khor Virap is the closest point to the legendary Mount Ararat, which opens a fabulous view to the Bible Mountain.
