Sisian Ceramics Master Class - clay work

Painter and pottery master Vahagn Hambardzumyan and his wife, the artist Zara Gasparyan, founded Sisian Ceramics in 2004. Their works are inspired by the ancient Ughtasar Petroglyphs in the nearby mountains. Together, they study the roots of Armenian ceramics, ancient technologies, and decorative art forms while also training local youth in ceramic traditions.
Visitors may throw a clay mug on the potting wheel or try painting a scarf under the expert guidance of Vahagn and Zara.

Itinerary

Sisian ceramics is a family business established by artists Vahagn and Zara. Here in our workshop we offer pottery, batik and clay jewelry making master classes. In our tasting room you can enjoy a cup of herbal tea or traditional dishes cooked in our kilns.
